This is the first glimpse you get of Tranquility, Aldrin’s ebon devil companion. As I’ve mentioned previously, devils in Fei’s world take the form of technological constructs rather than the more traditional forms they take in the wheel; Tranquility’s form is thus, naturally, a gigantic space battleship.
