MOONSHOT

Part of my worldbuilding was deciding which actual historical figures would be instrumental in the EASF, as the timeline from our Earth diverges on July 20, 1969. Alexei Leonov was a Soviet cosmonaut who became the first human to complete a spacewalk, and was also a crewmember on the historic Apollo-Soyuz mission in which an American and Soviet spacecraft docked in space and exchanged gifts and scientific experiments. Sadly, Leonov died shortly after I had completed my round two comic, so I felt it would be fitting to end the epilogue on a dedication to him.
